About Us
New Hope Ministries is guided by the principles, ethics, and beliefs taught in the Judeo-Christian Bible, but we strive to help all people who seek out and ask for our services, regardless of their beliefs and worldview.
New Hope Ministries envisions:
- A world where all people are empowered to recognize and avoid or leave toxic relationships;
- A world where all children and adolescents are taught and mentored in developing the skills, knowledge, and wisdom needed to have healthy relationships before and as they enter and develop significant, life-long relationships;
- A world where abuse of any kind (especially non-physical abuse) is no longer hidden, tolerated, ignored, or excused and, therefore, is a historical phenomenon only;
- A world where families of all socio-economic situations have access to whatever information, services, and assistance (financial or otherwise) they need to define and provide the best-suited education and training for each of their children, where each child's individual, and sometimes unique, needs can be met;
- A world where honesty, integrity, cooperation, and justice always prevail.
Although these may seem to be very lofty, even unattainable, goals, New Hope Ministries is dedicated to nurturing new hope in people and families who have had their hopes, dreams, and expectations diminished, discouraged, and in some cases, destroyed. In order to regain the courage to hope, we must nurture dreams and revive expectations. Knowing that we live in a broken and fallen world, if we want to achieve meaningful results, we must aim high enough so that when we inevitably fall short, we will still have achieved enough to inspire continued hope.
To this end, New Hope Ministries' mission is
- To come alongside and assist, to the utmost extent that our resources allow, anyone who desires and/or seeks our assistance with respect to improving their relationships and accessing appropriate and meaningful educational opportunities;
- To empower both individuals and families, through education, advocacy, research, solidarity, cooperation with like-minded agencies and organizations, and referrals, as appropriate, to achieve healthy relationships, live meaningful and purposeful lives, and access or create the opportunities and environment their children and family need in order to thrive;
- To work towards eradicating all forms of abuse from society by raising awareness of the nature, extent, and effects of abuse, and by providing education and training to organizations and individuals who are in positions of influence in the formation of healthy relationships among people of all ages, but particularly among children and youth.
